The Big Dipper Ice Cream Parlor

{A new skirt I picked up while thrifting.}

{This is what it looked like before I altered it.}

{I love Eddie so much! If I could marry him again, I would.}

The Big Dipper is an ice cream parlor that you think only exist in high-gloss magazines. It couldn't possibly belong in my back yard, and yet, it does. Old amusement park paraphernalia clutters the wall while a train of cars derailed from a kiddie ride sits in the middle of the parlor. Small children, wedged into the seats, happily lick away at their ice cream as it runs down their waffle cone. It's as picturesque as picturesque gets in the ice cream arena, and for about $7.00, it's an inexpensive date night.

Go. Go with an appetite. Go with your sweet tooth in the driver's seat and select the sweetest ice cream. My favorite is carmel, but peach sure is a runner up.

So here's what we're up to today: Hopefully going to the Farm to Table outing at Oglebay's Stifel Fine Arts Center. I don't know if they're booked yet, and I just found out about this on Thursday. I'm also thinking about swinging by the library for a new book. I just finished "The Help." I was pretty adamant against reading the book. I thought it was just another pop sensation. It turned out to be a great read. Any suggestions?
